Membuat Karangan Spoof, dan Cara Mebuat Paragraf Spoof Serta Contoh Spof

Salah satu jenis karangan yang sering dibahas dalam penulisan story genres dalam bahasa inggris yaitu SPOFF, yang dimana paragraf spoof ini bertujuan untuk menceritakan kembali kejadian atau peristiwa lucu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang ditujuakan untuk menghibur para pembaca atau para pendengarnya. Atau dengan kata lain sering disebut juga sebagai plesetan atau lelucon yang diakhiri dalam sebuah cerita.

Dalam menulis dan membuat spoof perlu diketahui struktur umum teks jenis ini. Ada tiga bagian struktur yang terdapat dalam spoof mulai dari Orientation, Events, dan Twist.

Beberapa ciri kebahasaan yang sering digunakan diantaranya sebagai berikut:

1. Fokus Pada Tokoh (Fokus pada pemeran utama baik itu manusia, hewan, maupun barang. Contohnya: a boy, a monkey, a dolphin).
2. Menggunakan Verb Action (beberapa contoh yang sering digunakan misalnya: saw, sent, spoke dan lain-lain).
3. Menggunakan Averb Time and Place (contoh: in, on…… dan sebagainya).
4. Menggunakan Tenses Past Tense (contoh: I went to the school, she was surprised; he was at hotel).
5.  Susunan sesuai dengan urutan waktu atau kejadian.
6. Terdapat twist (lelucon/plesetan) yang tidak terduga pada akhir cerita.

Perlu diketahui pada karangan spoof atau laporan peristiwa lucu dan ini sering ditemukan pada cerita humor, lawakan, humor monolog. Akan tetapi perlu diperhatikan bahwa tak sedikit yang menemukan kesusahan untuk membedaka baik itu spoof ataupun anecdote. Kedua dari text tersebut memiliki kesamaan dari segi kelucuannya. Namun kita harus lebih bisa membedakan lagi keduanya dengan cara melihat generic structure dari kedua text tersebut, dan tentu saja berbeda.

Berikut contoh dari text spoof:

Mr. John woke up one morning and found a monkey in his tree. He looked in the phone book for a gorilla removal service until he found one. “Is it a boy or girl monkey?” the service guy asked. “Boy”. Said Mr. John

“Mmmm….. I can do it. I will be right there”, said the service guy. 30 minutes later the service guy came with a stick, a small dog, a shotgun, and a pair of handcuffs. Then he gave the man some instruction. “Now, I am going to climb this tree and poke the monkey with the stick until it falls. When it does, the trained dog will bite the monkey’s tail off. Then the monkey will cross his hands to protect it and allow you to put the handcuff on him.”

Mr. John asked, “But…. What to do with the shotgun?”

The service guy replied. “If I fall out of the tree before the monkey, shoot the dog.”
